Gun Madness

Since the shooting at Dawson College here in Montreal, there have been at least four more gun shootings at schools in the US. It is just absurd, all this violence. Something is wrong, I am not sure what, I am no expert.

What I believe is part of the problem is gun control. Sure some people will argue that famous quote that guns do not kill people, people kill people. That is true but with better gun control there would be less guns in the hands of these sociopaths that choose to kill people for whatever twisted reason.

A good example of this is the guy involved in the Amish school shooting this week, he had six hundred rounds of ammunition with him. No one asked as he bought all this, what do you plan to do with all this. There needs to be a longer waiting period and stricter gun control, not less gun control. The US is lax in gun control and we in Canada with Mr Harper will follow their lead.

It is neccesary to keep on eye on what is happening with guns, I believe that the gun smuggling problem is as dangerous as drug smuggling but somehow no one seems to care about it. Somehow it is not an issue, as the second amendment to the US Constitution is the right to bear arms.

Someone wrote that when they were up against the British in the 1700s but times have changed, maybe this needs to be re-visited, updated for the 21st century.
