No Real Winners

A fragile peace has been ongoing for two days now in the Middle East. Will it hold is the question? Will both sides respect the agreements set forth in the cease-fire??

I do not trust either side. I do not trust the Hezbollah and I am not certain about what Israel is up to and what their real objective is. It is not a secret that Hezbollah gets support from Iran and Syria, so was attacking the Hezbollah not a practice run of sorts, as an article in New Yorker Magazine speculates.

Odds are that it was a test run, to see what type of an attack could work on Iran and Syria. The US tricked everyone about their elusive search for those so called weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, so going into Iran is not a big stretch. To go into Iran, the US  could just have Israel do it for them, and just back Israel with funds and weapons, just pulling the strings.

All is possible these days. The Bush administration will just keep playing the fear card, and get away with it.
