Hello Stalin

The Council for a Sovereign Quebec put out a book yesterday that they expected schools to use as teaching tool. The book was a kind of sovereignist handguide for children. Everyone came out against the book, even the PQ which is a sovereignist party.

The council and the publisher of the book were on the news last night, claiming that they did not understand why and screaming freedom of expression. What is there to understand, since when did teaching political indoctrination become a school subject.

It was a popular subject in the old USSR and eastern block countries, but I thought we were in a 20th century North American country here.

What shocks me is that someone would even write this and expect schools to use it. One has to wonder what Mr Larose and the people at the Council are smoking these days.
