Changes Part 2

February 13, 2006 at 10:12 am (Uncategorized)

This is a follow-up post to my last post on the elections. As the Conservative party is showing us, nothing has changed. They accused the Liberals of all sorts of things and they are not better.

It started right away with the naming of the PC cabinet. One of the members of the cabinet is a Liberal(David Emerson) who switched parties before even making it to the house. A few days before the election he was just blasting away at the PC party saying how their platform was no good and a few weeks later he is Trade Minister.

How can the PC party accept  Mr Emerson as its newest member, all of a sudden, it makes no sense. What  about Mr Emerson himself, he was a Liberal and then suddenly he feels he should be a Conservative. What about the voters that voted Liberal, and suddenly find themselves with a Conservative representative. Jumping from one party to another should not be permitted.

Where is the justice in all this, I am not certain there is any. Democracy at times is an illusion as I previously stated.
